Retail Insider Movers and Shakers in Retail Top 100

Part of the launch event for the Movers & Shakers report back in 2019…

Last year in difficult circumstances Retail Insider celebrated the tenth issue of the successful Movers & Shakers report. This year with a brand new sponsor, WonderLane, onboard and an excellent panel of judges we are raring to begin the second decade of this popular report.

The process for choosing the ranked individuals begins, as always, with a longlist, which is drawn up by the judges during a meet-up in July. This list is then scored by the panel over the following weeks. Our external panel is therefore integral to the quality of the end report as each judge brings a unique perspective on the rising and established stars in their own particular part of the industry.

This year we have a number of returning experts including Anthony Fletcher, former CEO of Graze, Simon Calver, chairman of Fenwicks, Nick Thomas, chief digital officer at Holland & Barrett, Melissa Reed, partner – retail & consumer at H.I. Executive Consulting, Sarah McVittie, co-founder of Dressipi, and Hannah Joyce, partner at Calibre One.

However, there are also some new participants bringing fresh eyes to the mix. We’d like to extend a big welcome to Aaron Chatterley, founder of Feelunique, Ajay Kavan, senior advisor at KKR, Alex Murray, founder of Thistle Digital, and Susan Aubrey-Cound, non-executive director at JML Group, who are all joining in 2021.

The final report will be launched in September – hopefully alongside a long awaited live event, which will be attended by sponsors, judges and some of those included in the report. Through the year Retail Insider then carries Q&A interviews with ranked individuals to gain more insights on their professional lives.

We are excited to start work with such a great team on the 11th issue of Retail Insider’s Movers & Shakers, which will be freely available in hardcopy and digital formats once completed.

Retail Insider would like to thank WonderLane for its sponsorship and also to AAAtraq and CreativeOates for their design work on the report.
