See you in the future at Wired Smarter 2022
On the near term horizon is the Wired Smarter conference that takes a look beyond the short term and brings together a mix of speakers that will provide some answers as to where we might be heading in the future.
This year’s event, on October 11, in London, begins with the inventor of the internet, Sir Tim Berners Lee, who will be talking about Web 3.0. Despite having already had an immeasurable impact on society he continues to be more interested in thinking about what lies ahead.
Other speakers joining Sir Tim come from across myriad businesses and industries including retailers and technologists. Werner Vogels, CTO of Amazon, considers innovation across three dimensions, Sandrine Deveaux, executive VP at Farfetch, will be suggesting the store of the future is almost here, Patrick Nommensen, senior director at Tik Tok, discusses the new rules of the creator economy, and senior execs from Shopify, Slack, Darktrace and the Bank of England are among those adding to the potent mix.
The beauty of the format is that all the speakers, regardless of who they are, all have an equal 20 minutes to put forward their thoughts and ideas. This ensures there is a pace to what is a full-on agenda, which will cover an incredible amount of ground and undoubtedly provide plenty of food for thought. Lunch is included.
